So who am I and why should I write your name in music?
I am a dreamer and a visionary. I am a seer of new worlds, of better worlds. I love trying out new things, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. I am never satisfied with the status quo, and always looking at how to make things better. And this goes for my music and my creative output.
And I believe this is the same for you. I believe you are made of better stuff than society, teachers, parents, and your-self have said. YOU are awesome, a work of art, a being so luminous and shinning that you deserve to be celebrated and shown off. And what better way to do that than to do it through music? Even better, how about you have music that reflects you, that sings about who you are?
I take your name and put it to music. I use a specific technique that allows me to create a piece for you and of you, that is utterly unique and unmatched anywhere else.
This piece then becomes a foundation upon which you can stand to reaffirm yourself when you need it, as it stems from the core of you.
I have been a musician and composer for well over 30 years, performing and playing in different contexts in 8 different countries. I have studied music in France and in England, as well as having been a private and school music teacher. I have played in orchestras, big bands, marching bands, rock, jazz, and pop bands, and in modern church bands. I have composed for orchestras, chamber ensembles, and modern church worship bands. And lastly I have also been privileged enough to compose the music for a theatrical production and conduct the ensemble playing the music live!
In order to further increase my musical capacity, I have re-started my music degree, currently studying with the UHI. This is an amazing university spread out across width and breadth of Scotland, but who provide their course online.
